Art Show

We are going to be participating in the Essex Studios Art Walk this year!  The show will be on March 2nd & 3rd from 6pm to 11pm.  Check out their website for directions: http://www.essexstudios.com

I am very excited to be showing our fine art and travel photography.  I always, at first, dread putting together pieces to print, frame, and show but after I get the prints it is unbelievably rewarding.  I am super ecstatic for these pieces.  They are huge!  The largest print is 20x30.  Most of the pieces are from our travels to Italy, San Francisco, Mexico, and Colombia. 

They will be for sale and we are going to be donating a significant portion of the sales to Luz y Vida.

Engagements 2010

Here are some of our favorite engagement images from last year! We always seem to forget to preview engagement pictures mostly because weddings shadow them, but I really enjoy the diversity and the personality that engagement pictures bring. It is such a laid back photoshoot, walking around, and shooting on the spot. Awesome awesome couples this year! In other news, we are traveling Italy next week! A bit of Europe surveying to satisfy the traveling bug. We plan on traveling Tuscany, particularly Florence, and seeing Venice. I will be sure to post some pictures!

2013 - Real life

After the whirlwind of 2012 (which is really hard to top) 2013 was a relatively chill year.  We basically just did the family thing.  We watched the girls grow up.  Take their first steps.  Eventually we got our first full night of sleep.  We watched their little personalities develop.   We took our usual trips.  We went to the beach that year and got to see the pure joy of dipping their toes in the Atlantic ocean.  We traveled up to Mackinaw with your dad to see the horse drawn buggies.  I went to Mexico for my cousins wedding and left you with two crazy toddlers. 2015 - Sweden

It hit me today how fast time goes.  I was thinking about our time in Sweden and realized that was 5 years ago.  It seemed like it just happened.  Like we just moved there and we just walked in to realize that there weren't even lightbulbs in this apartment, and the only things we had were the clothes on our back.  But Time is also graciously slow and 11 years is a good long time to enjoy together.  Our lives are marked by epochs and episodes and seasons: Early Marriage, Kids, Sweden, and presently our time back in the US.  Each of those times seemed like a long and important stages of our life.   Early years of TAV and the twins prepared us to do hard things.  Sweden was a continuation of that mantra with great reward.  We had the opportunity that few get.  And I think Sweden was perhaps the greatest change in us.  We got to experience something new and see a way of life that most do not get the chance to see, and then bring t...
