2014 - Big Changes Coming

With the baby stage behind us we were ready for a new adventure.  Because as you know by now, we can't do life without big adventures!  2014 was a big year!  Mostly it was the anticipation of what was next.  I was finishing up my thesis and we knew big changes were upon us.  Considering the options (California, Austria, or Sweden) we knew a big move was upon us.

This was the summer that I left you with 2 kids and crossed the country to hike the 14ers in Colorado.  I also left you with 2 kids alone when I went to Boston.  I see a theme.  But besides that!  We had a great year together.  Desi came and we traveled a lot with her.

By November, we knew our time in Cincinnati was coming to a close.  After Thanksgiving I went to Boston where I was offered a position.  We cleared out the house.  By December we sold all of our worldly belongings.  In less than a month, January, we were left with an empty house and 9 suitcases.  Off to Sweden.

What I really love about you looking back at this year was how strong you were when I needed you the most.  We faced an unknown future and you faced it with me with excitement and nervousness and you dreamed big with me.

Engagements 2010

Here are some of our favorite engagement images from last year! We always seem to forget to preview engagement pictures mostly because weddings shadow them, but I really enjoy the diversity and the personality that engagement pictures bring. It is such a laid back photoshoot, walking around, and shooting on the spot. Awesome awesome couples this year! In other news, we are traveling Italy next week! A bit of Europe surveying to satisfy the traveling bug. We plan on traveling Tuscany, particularly Florence, and seeing Venice. I will be sure to post some pictures!

Joe and Heather

What an incredible time celebrating with Joe and Heather.  And who would have thought that a rainy April morning day could have turned into such a beautiful afternoon.  Which is good because I promised Heather sun!  I can’t begin to say how much fun we had with the whole group at the reception.  So much fun!  Here are a few shots of the day.      These next pictures are my favorites, the dress was amazing and that bouquet was out of this world!     And I’m not kidding - right before Heather walked down the aisle, a beam of light from the majestic church broke its way through the window and followed Heather all the way down.  I just turned off my flash and let Heather and her spotlight work the magic.     Ha! Cracks me up. This reception was a party!   Thank you so much you two for letting us be a part of your day!  We hope you enjoy the pictures!

2013 - Real life

After the whirlwind of 2012 (which is really hard to top) 2013 was a relatively chill year.  We basically just did the family thing.  We watched the girls grow up.  Take their first steps.  Eventually we got our first full night of sleep.  We watched their little personalities develop.   We took our usual trips.  We went to the beach that year and got to see the pure joy of dipping their toes in the Atlantic ocean.  We traveled up to Mackinaw with your dad to see the horse drawn buggies.  I went to Mexico for my cousins wedding and left you with two crazy toddlers. This year was memorable because I got to see you shine as a momma.  You loved this kiddos, you protected them, you nourished their souls and their minds and we discovered another side of our marriage.     Favorite TV show: Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood Anniversary date: Applebee's...Take Out Song of the year: Cornerstone (bedtime) Brilliant business idea of t...
